Defending Democracy Webinar for Educators

Tuesday, January 14, 2025 • 4:30-5:30pm PT

Woven Teaching is excited to host a webinar about our latest resource, Defending Democracy: Lessons for Building Resilience and Taking Action! Defending Democracy is a free, downloadable curriculum about protecting democracy and fighting against authoritarianism for high school educators.

Inspired by Timothy Snyder’s, On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century, the curriculum’s 15 lessons encourage civic engagement and global citizenship, and emphasize critical thinking, media literacy and community-building.

Join us on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to learn about this new curriculum and to hear from our colleagues at the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism. We look forward to seeing you there!
